1.5 years of awesomeness
I am lazy. I would rather cuddle with Yobo, watch x-files on netflix (yes, the x-files, and yes--the aliens from the 1990s are laughable), and eat something totally unhealthy for me. Yet, I find myself writing this blog in an effort to preserve the awesome memories of me and my man, Yobo. If you know anything about my memory--it's that of an 85 yr old. I barely remember my childhood, let alone the cool things I've done in the past year and a half. So, even if no one reads this thing, I'll be grateful! (As I write this, I'm playing the movie 'The Notebook' in my head... wow that was depressing!).
I think the best way to rock this 1.5 years in a quick post would be a timeline of sorts.
Jan 16 2010 - Yobo and I first met. He knew I was a keeper. Our first date as a hike at Griffith Park--he brought a ridiculous amount of gear (only to find it was a mini day hike). Best date ever, hike, wings, and finished the day watching Lost :)
Will we be super heroes and rule the world? Hmmmmmm
Feb 14 2010 - Yobo and I took a hike on the Santa Monica mountains in Malibu. I remember being hesitant about having this 'date' because it was Valentines day--I didn't want him to think I loved him or anything. ha!
Then many more dates continued....
Then there were Hockey Games...
Marathons...
And several other dates in between.
March 2010 - I adopted the sweetest puppy in the whole world, Isa. So sad that she is no longer with me--but so grateful she made me fall in love with yobo! (Well at least, a little bit!)
End of July we had a camping trip with Niki and Jay at the Santa Cruz Island off the CA coast. It was the greatest trip and the most depressing trip. 1) Loved hanging out with Niki and Jay--they are the coolest people on the planet. 2) Isa passed away while we were on the island. 3) Yobo asked my Dad if he could marry me, the day we got back. Talk about an emotional roller coaster!
In August of 2010-Yobo embarked on a trip called R2R. Road to Rockies. Not only wasn this an amazing adventure for him and Chris, but I think he knew he really freakn' loved me. :) It was rough to be away for so long! But dang, did they have a rockin good time! This is a super bad picture of me trying to kiss him goodbye. He clearly wasn't into it.
November 2010 - Yobo proposed. I knew we were already getting hitched, since he already asked my Dad for my hand, but the ring was legit. :) Funny story about the proposal--you'll have to ask us if you haven't heard it yet. Of course he broke the one rule I told him about proposing... I have to look HOT! I had just gotten done with a ten mile run, mascara down my face, and so not hot. But whatever....
Yes... that's hair on my fingers. I am part man.
Next up.. our trip to NYC. This was SO fun. If you know me--NYC is my absolute FAVORITE city. We spent a few days here and then headed up to PA to see the rest of the fam (for the first time!!!!!).
Then to PA
Yobo's Dad always gives his kids 20 bucks for ice cream when they leave...so we went to the local dairy, got some ice cream and a whole lotta chocolate milk and took some pics to send back to Dad :) Anyone that gives me cash for ice cream is my favorite person. Nuff said.
The next photo and is me and darling Alexa! LOVE her!!!
I am pressing the big fast forward button here... but I can't remember anything else in between...Yobo and I got married April 16th, 2011. Not in love with the pics, as many of you already know. But here are few goodies.
I'll do a whole wedding post, but that's it for now.
Again... pressing the fast forward button. Not to mention I'm tired. Need breakfast. And this whole blog thing takes forever! Holy Crap!
Next up are some pics from our most recent adventures...Hawaii...Total cheesecake shot up first...
Baldy Hike...
Making Beer!!! It was soo good. We call it Fat Ho....It tastes like fat tire and hoegaarden.
An oldie... but Yobo and me at Disneyland. This unfortunately, is not one of Yobo's top 10 favorite places to go. However, he always loves it at the end of the day :)
Okay.. I'm about to explode. That's all I can post for now. Good news is, I feel like I've recounted some good moments, and will hopefully keep this going on a regular basis. Whew... Nicole & Stacey... I don't know how you do it! This Sh*t is a full time job, yo!
